The sounds of fighting continued to echo in her ears, indicating that it was not Joseph. Besides, Joseph would not sneak around. She picked up a vase from the table to use as a weapon. Staying close to the wall, she inched to the door slowly, trying not to alert the person outside. As she approached the doorway, Xavia suddenly rushed out with a sharp knife. She lunged at Chloe and shouted, "I'm going to kill you!"
