Chapter 929 Gurgle, Gurgle

An overwhelming force swept across the air, forcing Tyr to face his opponent solemnly. It was Luc’s most potent attack. One single blow was all it took to take down ninety percent of the northern martial arts community fighters. Bam! As if thunder roared in the sky, the Golden Ring Knife went flying straight at Tyr’s forehead. However, right before the blade could slice Tyr’s skull, Luc’s expression suddenly changed. He felt an enormous force blocking his powerful blow, preventing him from moving any further. “What?” Immediately Luc’s expression changed, especially when he saw the dagger used by Tyr to parry his slashes. He thought his eyes were playing tricks on him. “The Ormr Dagger!” Staring at the blade with wide-opened eyes, Luc could not believe the Ormr Dagger he yearned for was now in Tyr’s hands. With the Ormr dagger in hand, Tyr blocked the Golden Ring Knife’s attack. When the blades clashed, even an untrained eye could see the Ormr Dagger slowly slicing into the sharp edge of the Golden Ring Knife. “Impossible!” Luc could not believe his eyes. More accurately, he found it hard to accept this reality. The Ormr Dagger was the reason for his corruption. Starting with thoughts to take possession of the dagger, he had eventually killed Scott Yoder and the rest of the Yoder family. Even till the end, the Ormr Dagger was never his. Today, he was seeing it again, only for it to be the weapon in his opponent’s hand. Not just that, his opponent parried the Golden Ring Knife with the Ormr Dagger. “Roar!” Quickly pulling his weapon back, the Golden Ring Knife and the Ormr Dagger slid across each other as sparks flew. A cut appeared on the blade of the Golden Ring Knife as its sharp edges were all but blunted. Luc roared and was about to attack again. However, Tyr didn’t allow Luc the chance to do so. “It’s my turn!” Tyr growled and attacked. He was fast, extremely fast. Even a powerful fighter like Luc had a difficult time tracing Tyr’s movements. Amidst the chaos, Luc slashed the air wildly with the Golden Ring knife, only for him to miss all of his attacks. He then felt a sudden chill on his chest. Tyr had appeared right in front of him and stabbed him deep in the sternum with the Ormr Dagger. Splat! A mouthful of fresh blood sputtered from Luc’s mouth. His eyes widened as he collapsed and the Golden Ring Knife fell out of his grasp onto the floor. “You lost,” Tyr remarked casually and pulled the Ormr Dagger out of Luc’s chest. Luc stumbled backward to the edge of the iron boat, let out a peal of malicious laughter, and fell into the rowdy waters of Pine River. “Luc Mills is defeated!” On the other side of the river banks, Chasing Wind and Isaiah Yoder felt a huge relief after seeing the battle’s outcome through their binoculars. The battle between Tyr and Luc ended with the defeat of the latter. Over at the yacht, Kirin froze on the spot after witnessing the results of the fight. “Luc Mills lost?” Kirin didn’t want to accept reality. His subordinates, who stood next to him, looked quite upset as well. “It seems like it, Master.” “But, he didn’t use the Super Red Spider?” Kirin was shocked and looked like a child trying to make sense of why one plus one equals two. “Exactly, Master. He didn’t get to use Red Spider before Tyr slew him.” “No, no… impossible!” Kirin shook his head. “He is not defeated yet. Wait till he consumes the Super Red Spider; he will emerge victoriously!” “Tsk, tsk, tsk.” Luc plunged backward into the roaring waters of Pine River and made a huge splash. The ripples faded away moments later, away with the last traces of Luc’s existence. The chances of survival for the severely wounded Luc, who had fallen into the choppy waters, were extremely slim. Tyr didn’t feel at all accomplished after defeating Luc. For Luc was at most decent and too weak to be even compared to Tyr’s past opponents, such as Sachin Taylor. Killing him served two purposes; avenging Isaiah’s family and showing Kirin who called the shots here. However, Tyr didn’t know that Luc was still alive even after plunging into Pine River. Luc sank deeper and deeper into the depths of Pine River. On his way down, he held his breath and reached for his pocket. He grabbed the Super Red Spider shot and stabbed it right into his neck. Immediately his breath collapsed, and mouthfuls of blood started spilling out of his mouth. The river water flooded the open orifices on his face. Gurgle, gurgle. Any other ordinary human being would have drowned immediately. However, Luc was alive with both his eyes and mouth wide open. His eyes turned blood-red, glowing in the dark waters of the river. More than that, his body also underwent a drastic change. His muscles began bulging, and bright-red veins appeared all over his body. Eventually, his shirt was shredded into pieces, and he looked like a monster with his body covered entirely by veins. Gurgle, gurgle! Luc spat out mouthfuls of blood and water, and he began flailing his limbs around. Just like a fish, he swam toward the surface of the water. “What is going on?” Tyr was standing at the iron boat’s edge, looking down into the river to see if Luc had died. He quickly saw bubbles appearing on the surface of the river. It then looked like it was boiling, as numerous bubbles kept appearing. Tyr frowned deeply, for he had never seen something so sinister. He felt a bad premonition, and before he could process it, from the surface of the river came a loud bang, as if a warhead had just exploded right beneath it. Immediately, a figure of a human shot out of the waters like a flying fish. With its body covered in bright-red veins and a pair of bloodshot eyes floating on its hideous face, a monster stood by the prow of the wooden boat, which Tyr arrived in. It glared at Tyr and kept growling.
