Chapter 532 The Person Who Made The Bomb

When Xena arrived at the hospital, she had not expected her little sister to be there. At that moment, the atmosphere suddenly became awkward. Lola pouted and pulled on Annie's arm. She said, "Annie, why did you invite her to come here?" She said in a disdainful tone. Annie's gaze was fixed on both of them. 'Why do I feel like the two sisters are acting weirdly today? Lola normally admires her sister a lot. What’s gotten into her today? 'It seems like Xena is just a puddle of mud in Lola's view.’ She could not help but tap the back of Lola's hand and say seriously, "How could you say such a thing to your sister?" After saying that, she turned to face Xena. She said with a smile on her face, "Xena, it's been a while since I last saw you. You two must have not seen the babies yet, right? Yasmin has already brought the babies here. You two will be able to see them in a while." Lola was still pouting. She turned her face toward another direction. Xena let out a burst of soft laughter as if she was not affected by her younger sister. 'This might be for the best. It would be much better if she hates me forever. At least, she won’t be so sad when I leave her.' They were still talking when Yasmin pushed the baby carriage into the room. "Mrs. Jennings." She placed Ginny in Annie's arms, and the latter carried the baby as she chuckled. Subsequently, she kissed the baby's face a few times. Lola had a kid's heart. Despite being in an argument with her sister, she could not resist the urge to get closer to Ginny. She said, "She's so cute." Xena carried Timmy naturally and looked at the baby's broad forehead as she said, "Annie, this kid will grow up to be a very capable person in the future." Annie smiled gently. "I’m not too concerned whether he will be someone capable. As long as our whole family is together, I'll be very satisfied." She looked at Timmy, and Timmy looked back at Annie with a smile on his face. The innocent smile immediately made all the pain that Annie was suffering disappear. Annie was astonished as she looked at Xena and said, "Xena, you look like you know a lot about kids." Xena looked at her younger sister. and her eyes glinted proudly. "In the past… that's why…" She did not say it clearly, but Annie and Lola understood what she meant; this was especially true for Lola as her eyes slowly turned red. Throughout the many years, her sister had treated her very well. Naturally, she remembered all of it. She knew deep in her heart that her elder sister was the best sister in the entire world, but… It was because Xena had been too good to her that when she made a mistake, Lola thought that the world was going to end. She still had her head turned away. She was teasing Ginny as if she did not hear what Xena had said. Annie looked at the siblings. She did not know how she should interfere in the situation. 'It seems like after Lola leaves, I have to make Xena stay back and ask what’s actually going on.' … Myles arrived at the hospital, and the security guards immediately recognized him. They went forth and said respectfully, "Mr. Jennings, you've arrived." "Have you guys found out about it?" "Yes." The security guards nodded and said, "We looked through the logbook from when Mrs. Jennings was admitted to the hospital, and we managed to find the person through the surveillance cameras. It has to be said that she would always show up at the hospital dressed differently." Myles nodded and hinted that he understood it. He said, "Pay full attention to this person. You must report to me about all the people that are related to her. Additionally, report any suspicious people who have been lingering around the hospital to me too." "Yes, sir." The leader of the security guards quickly gave his word. Despite it not being a big project, if he could obtain Myles' acknowledgment with this opportunity that had been given to him, perhaps he would be able to get a raise. After all, the true boss of the private hospital was Myles! The thought of this made the leader of the security guards walk back to his workstation enthusiastically. As for Myles, he made his way to the elevator. While he was still walking, his phone rang. It was from Hugh. He had to be calling up to report about the bombing incident. 'The cops are still following the standard operating procedure. It's Hugh who's still much faster.' The thought of being able to meet that person soon made Myles develop a sense of anticipation within him. He picked up the phone, and Hugh's voice was indeed heard from the other end of the call. "Mr. Jennings…" Myles held his phone and quietly waited for Hugh to complete his sentence. However, even after 10 seconds, nothing was heard from Hugh's side. "What's wrong?" Myles was holding back his rage. Hugh hesitated for a moment before he said, "Mr. Jennings, that… I've found out." Myles was delighted, but his face continued to wear a cool expression. "Who's the culprit?" At that moment, a ding was heard, and the elevator door was opened. Coincidentally, Hugh said the person's name. Myles walked toward the ward and happened to see Xena playing with the kids. He put down his phone, and with a dark expression, entered the ward. Annie immediately put on an excited expression when she saw him enter the place. 'Finally, I won't have to be a mediator for the two of them.' "Are you done with all the stuff in the company?" Lately, Myles had been very busy and would always bring documents from the company to the hospital to take care of them. Annie was heartbroken because of this and had told him not to come over. However, Myles did not agree to it and still came over regardless of the weather. Myles lifted his head, and his gaze fixed itself on Xena. Xena felt terrified. 'Could it be…' She let out a faint smile to prevent Myles from figuring out anything odd about her. She greeted him softly, "Hi, Mr. Jennings." She played with Timmy's hand, and her actions seemed somewhat forced. Myles retrieved his kid from Xena's arms; his gaze was still staring at her ruthlessly. Even Annie found it weird, and he pulled on Myles' sleeve. "What are you doing? All she did was carry your precious son, right?" Myles turned around and looked at Annie. He said seriously, "You had better not interfere with this issue." "What... what's going on?" Annie looked at Xena. She felt insecure as she could not comprehend the serious expression Myles was wearing. 'What on earth is going on here?' "The Laurels family really had quite the trick up their sleeves." Myles took a step back as he protected his kids with one of his hands. "What's going on right here, Myles?" Annie asked anxiously. He had come in and begun immediately acting abnormally as if he had a huge grudge against Xena. Even Lola, who was beside them, felt that it was ridiculous as he looked at her sister and Myles. She did not know what was going on. Xena met Myles’ intense gaze and began to feel anxious. She said softly, "About that matter, I would like to talk to you in person." She did not wish for Lola to know that she was the one who had planned the entire bombing incident. If Lola found out about it, it would perhaps lead to a chaotic scene. She let out a bitter smile and took the lead as she walked out of the ward. 'Death will come in the end, and it's just a matter of time.' The thought of it made her calmer. As for Myles, he watched Xena leave. He had mixed feelings within him. Annie, who was beside Myles, looked at him and then at Xena anxiously. She pulled on Myles' hand softly and asked, "Myles, what's going on?" Myles gave his child back to Yasmin and looked at Lola, who was dumbfounded. He lowered his head and said gently, "I'll be back soon. After I return, I'll explain everything to you." Annie could only watch Myles file out of the room as she felt worried about him.
