Chapter 12

I slowly begin to groggily wake up from the excessive ringing of my phone. Who is calling me this early in the morning? I lazily reach out and grab said phone, blindly accepting the call and placing the speaker near my ear. "What?" I grumble out incoherently "Good morning to you too, princess" Aurelia's voice flows through the speaker with an amused tone "What do you want, devil in disguise?" I practically whisper out since I'm still half asleep only for her to laugh at me "I was hoping that we could talk about the elephant in the room" she suggests "What time is it?" I ask her because I'm too tired to open my own "It's seven in the morning" she says causing to basically jump up from my bed Seriously?! Why didn't my parents wake me? Better yet, why didn't my alarm go off?! "I need to get ready" I tell her, hoping that she'll understand "Hanna, can we please talk about this, I don't want us to go back to basically strangers" she says with a sad tone of voice I sigh as I bring my hand up to rest on my forehead. "Okay, fine, lets meet at 'bubbles' and talk" I suggest to her 'Bubbles' is basically a small coffee shop near our school. It's too far away for me to walk to, because it's in another town, but last night my mom told me that she would drive me to school. "Great, I'll meet you there in forty five minutes" she informs me before hanging up Ugh. I grab my pillow and plop it down on my face while simultaneously flopping back on my bed. I can already tell that today is going to be an eventful day. - My mom pulls up in front of the coffee shop before stopping. "Hanna, if you wanted coffee I could've just made you some" she says as she eyes the small coffee shop "While I appreciate that, I'm actually meeting Aurelia here, we're going to talk about the project" I tell her She seems to perk up at this information. "Sweetheart, that's wonderful" she says with a genuine smile I quickly say goodbye to her and exit the car before she has a chance to embarrass me. As I'm making my way towards the coffee shop I notice the amount of sleepy teenagers basically wasting time inside of the coffee shop. "Hanna, over here" I hear someone say across from me, I turn in their direction only to smile politely when I notice that it's Aurelia I make my way over to her and take a seat on the wooden bench across from her. "Hey" I greet as I set my backpack down beside me "Hey, you look beautiful today" she greets with a smirk causing my eyes to widen Did she just-?! To my-?! What?! "I- I Um-" I stutter as my cheeks rapidly begin heat up Thankfully we get interrupted by a server who unknowingly saves me from further embarrassment. "Hello, my name is Atticus and I'll be taking your orders today, what will you be having?" He says instantly turning to me afterwards "May I have an iced coffee with no milk" I request since I need all the energy that I can get He quickly scribbles down my order before focusing his attention on Aurelia. "I'll have a slice of banana bread" she orders before handing him our menus He writes something down before accepting the menus and informing us that our orders will be ready soon. "So, you wanted to talk about Bailey and Faith's project" I decide to start as the server walks away "Actually, I wanted to know your opinions and try to go on from there" she suggests I nod my head, getting comfortable in my spot before continuing. "I think that it's amazing that Bailey and Faith have an incredible opportunity to showcase their teamwork skills, but I also don't feel comfortable doing some of the things that they mentioned" I start off She politely nods as she continues to stare at me with an intense look in her eyes causing me to shift awkwardly in my seat and blush. "Would you mind reiterating what you mean by 'some of the things that they mentioned'?" She says as she tries to hide a smirk I wouldn't have noticed if the corner of her lips weren't twitching. "Well, first and foremost the part when I have to kiss you" I immediately blurt out before I get the chance to wuss out of telling her She's silent for a few moments which causes me to nervously tuck my hair behind my ears so that I have a reason to look away. What's wrong with her? She's been staring at me with this look in her eyes for the longest time. Just as she's about to say something a server comes up to our table with a cocky smirk. Oh god. This can't be good. "Here is your slice of banana bread," he says as he delicately places a slice of the bread in front of Aurelia "And here is your coffee, beautiful" he says placing a to-go cup in front of me along with a napkin A napkin that has a phone number written on it with a black sharpie. I smile politely at him as I hand him the napkin. "Thank you, but I have a boyfriend" I tell him awkwardly He doesn't seem to believe me at first, but when I continue to hold the napkin out he gets the hint and embarrassedly walks away. "Um, okay, that was weird" I say as I place the napkin on the edge of the table and take a sip of my coffee, instantly feeling the caffeine course through my veins Wow, that feels nice. I look over to Aurelia when I notice that she hasn't said anything this whole time only to notice that she's now smirking at me. "What? Do I have something on my face?" I ask and bring my hand up to my face. She leans forward, placing her elbows on the wooden table "Why don't you want to kiss me?" She questions with an amused tone of voice causing me to choke on my coffee mid gulp "What?!" I exclaim quietly so that I don't interrupt the other costumers in the coffee shop "I'd kiss you" she adds on making my eyes widen "Excuse me?" "Are you scared of kissing a girl?" She teases making my cheeks heat up "What, no?!" I say She laughs lightly at my terrified facial expression. "Whatever you say, Hanna" she says "Fine, we'll settle this after school" I tell her with a competitive glare "Can't wait, babygirl" she rasps with a smirk We ended up finishing our breakfast in ten quick minutes since school starts at eight thirty and it's currently eight. After finishing our food we decided to pay for our own meals, as well as order another coffee to go. After leaving the coffee shop we decided to walk in silence and enjoy the chirping birds. - "You're cute when you blush" Aurelia says "Stop it" I whine before taking a sip of my coffee A few minutes ago Aurelia began to tell me, in detail, how much I remind her of a strawberry when I blush. The funny thing is that she likes strawberries, I'd even go as far to say that she loves them judging by her description of them. She's about to further embarrass me but doesn't get the chance to when Bailey walks up to us with a stressed facial expression. Her hair is up in a messy bun while her body is drowning in her oversized hoodie and skin tight leggings. "Hey, B, I love your hoodie" I tell her with a smile as I point to her grey 'Maui' hoodie I need to borrow that from her sometime. "Did you come up with a decision yet?" She asks completely ignoring me "Yes, I'll be in your short film" I tell her, hoping that she'll relax a little A wide smile makes its way onto her face and she basically jumps on me. "Thank you so much, Hanna" she says with a breath of relief I go to respond to her but she rushes away towards the south wing of our school. Um okay. "Babe" I hear someone say from my right before I'm enveloped in a hug, he goes to give me a peck on the lips only for me to dodge it so that it lands on my cheek "Um, hi" I say with a shocked tone of voice "I was worried when you didn't text me back, I bought you your favorite coffee" he tells me with a smile What is wrong with everyone today? It's like everyone is under some spell. "Thanks, Chad, but Aurelia and I already stopped to buy coffee before school" I tell him as I point to a curious Aurelia beside me He looks at her as if he's just noticing her. He's not serious right now, is he? "Well, you can drink this one later, I'm sure that it'll taste way better anyways" he says practically forcing the cup of coffee into my free hand "Um thanks, I have to go to class, I'll see you later" I tell him already beginning to walk away from him What is happening in the world?! Bailey is usually never that sleep deprived. Faith is nowhere to be seen. Aurelia basically told me that she wants to kiss me. Chadley is being aggressively nice. What's next?! - I have to say that today was most definitely the most interesting school day by far. Some kid ordered a bunch of pizzas to our fourth period classroom since our teacher was dealing with a fight. Supposedly the fight was over one of their girlfriends giving the other one a sexually transmitted disease. Anyways, when the teacher came back to class she didn't even care. I don't think I've ever seen her that calm. "Hanna, what's taking you so long?" Faith yells from outside of the girls bathroom "I'm having a problem with my dress" I shout back As soon as school ended Bailey and Faith texted me to meet them in the theater room since that's where we're filming the first scene. When I arrived Bailey and Faith were adding finial touches to the set while Aurelia was looking through a box for her costume. She eventually found her costume, finding mine in the process. We're taking turns changing in the bathroom, the only problem is that while Aurelia's costume fits her, mine is too small... in the chest region. "What do you mean by 'problem'?" Faith asks with an obviously stressed out tone of voice I wouldn't blame her. We have to shoot this whole film today so that they have time to edit it and send it in tomorrow. "My chest is too big for this dress" I tell her as I attempt to pull up the dress "Your boobs are too big for the dress?!" Bailey exclaims with an 'are you serious' tone of voice Has she been there the whole time? "Yes, Bailey, I think that's what 'my chest is too big for this dress' means" I reply with an eye roll as I give up on forcing this dress over my chest "Aurelia, can you help Hanna?" Bailey practically yells causing my eyes to widen Why the hell is she yelling this? "Sure, what does she need help with?" I hear Aurelia's voice as it gets closer to the door Oh god. Oh god. Oh god. This is so embarrassing. "Her boobs are too big for Juliet's dress, can you help her?" Faith bluntly tells her "Are you guys serious right now?!" I exclaim with embarrassment "Yeah, If she'll let me" Aurelia says, ignoring my freak out "No!" I yell as my eyes widen at the locked door She is NOT seeing my boobs. I refuse. "Hanna, come on, we have over thirty scenes to shoot and we're already behind schedule" Faith says with an annoyed tone of voice "Stop yelling at her" Bailey whispers to, I'm assuming, Faith "Please, I promise I won't look" Aurelia says seemingly coming closer towards the door "How do I know that for a fact?" I question her The three of them quickly whisper between each other for a second before she speaks again. "I could close my eyes?" She suggests I quickly think it over, keeping in mind that we barely have any time to get this done. "Fine, but no peaking" I tell her I already have to kiss her, I can't even imagine her seeing me half naked. She shuffles a bit before knocking on the bathroom door. I quickly unlock the door and pull her in so that no one wandering the halls gets a chance to see my bra clad chest. I turn around so that we can get this done as quickly as possible. As her hands gently touch my skin I get an intense shiver down my spine causing her to laugh at my reaction. She fumbles with the material for a bit before huffing out a breath of frustration. "You might need to take your bra off" she says, instantly making my eyes widen "Absolutely not" I refuse "Hanna, can you please start thinking about Bailey and Faith's film and stop worrying about me seeing you half naked" Aurelia says with a slightly frustrated tone I groan out with annoyance but choose not to say anything since she's sort of right. "No peaking" I warn her "Hanna, the only thing I can see is your back" she replies When did she open her eyes? I blush with embarrassment and reach back to unclasp my bra. Once I successfully unclasped my bra I remove it only for my nipples immediately harden from the cold air. Aurelia begins to fumble with my costume again only this time she actually gets it to zip up. Wow. I guess bras really do make a difference. "Great, lets go" She ushers Lord, save me now. - "I'm not having sex with her!" I whisper shout at Bailey It's currently seven in the afternoon and the sun is almost completely down. We're in the auditorium at the moment since there's a bedroom set on the stage that Bailey and Faith built during first period. We filmed most of the scenes already, we're just missing the 'sex' scene and the kissing scene. "You're not having sex with her, Hanna, it's acting" Bailey replies with an eye roll "Okay, Aurelia, you're going to climb on top of Hanna and basically improv from there," Faith informs her "Hanna, you're just going to lie their and act like you're interested, so don't look terrified" Faith directs at me "Guys this is weird" I tell my best friends "Hanna, you agreed to this" Bailey replies as she continues to adjust the stage lights "I didn't think you guys would go this far" I say truthfully "Hanna, she's not going to do anything with you, just lay down an relax" Faith tells me as she grabs the camera from the table I huff with a frustrated tone as I lay down on the makeshift bed. "This is basically R rated porn" I whisper to myself Bailey gives me a weird look while Faith just rolls her eyes at me. "Okay, and... action" Faith calls out from behind the camera I continue to lay on the bed with my hands on my stomach so my arms don't get stuck under our bodies. A few seconds pass before Aurelia is gently crawling over me, being careful not to fall on top of me. She rests one of her knees in between my legs while the other rests off to the side. My heart begins to speed up as I shakily slide my hands up and around Aurelia's neck so that she's now eye level with me. Why am I so nervous right now? I've never been nervous around her before. She suddenly grabs my hands and pins them beside my head against the bed causing my breath to hitch. "And... cut" Faith yells Aurelia doesn't move off of me, instead she smirks and leans in slightly closer towards my face. "I think I like you like this a little better, princess" she whispers with a smirk making my cheeks redden What?! Did she just-?! Before I can say anything she's crawling off of me and walking over to Faith where she's watching the footage back. I'm so confused. What just happened? - "Okay guys, this is the last scene, lets make it count!" Bailey yells with an encouraging tone of voice Aurelia and I just changed into our last costume. When we finished changing Bailey led us out towards the senior patio at our school. Wow, I didn't think I would be out here for another two years. Faith fixes our hair before grabbing the camera and placing it on the stand all the while Bailey fixes the settings on the second camera. I see someone walk down the hallway through my peripheral vision but decide to pass it off as a janitor since they're going to be leaving soon. "Action" Bailey shouts this time "If I profane with my unworthiest hand this holy shrine, the gentle sin is this," Aurelia begins as she takes my hands in hers "My lips, two blushing pilgrims, ready stand to smooth that rough touch with a tender kiss" she finishes "Good pilgrim, you do wrong your hand too much, Which mannerly devotion shows in this," I start Juliet's line "For saints have hands that pilgrims' hands do touch, and palm to palm is holy palmers' kiss" I finish with a small smile "Have not saints lips, and holy palmers too?" She questions "Ay, pilgrim, lips that they must use in prayer" I respond "O, then, dear saint, let lips do what hands do. They pray; grant thou, lest faith turn to despair" she responds to my line "Saints do not move, though grant for prayers' sake" I tell her "Then move not, while my prayer's effect I take," she declares as I'm gently pulled into her Oh god. Aurelia begins to lean in. Oh my goodness. She's about to kiss me. We're about to kiss. Before I know it her lips are on mine and we're sharing our first kiss. I know that it was only a peck but I swear that I felt more in that peck than all the kisses I've had with Chadley. "Thus from my lips, by thine, my sin is purged" she finishes her line, unknowingly allowing me to calm my heart "T-Then have my lips the, sin that they have took" I stumble over my lines "Sin from thy lips? O trespass sweetly urged!" She reads, trying to hide her smirk "Give me my sin again" she says her final line before wrapping her arms around my waist and leaning in again I wrap one of my arms around her neck while resting the other one against her cheek. She wastes no time as she gently places her lips against mine. Her lips are soft as they move in sync with mine. This weirdly feels... right. I'm not going to say that our lips were made for each other because I feel like that's insanely cliche, but I will say that I'd much rather kiss Aurelia than kiss Chadley. I'm the one to pull away when my mind begins to fill with inappropriate thoughts. We stare at each other for a few seconds before I turn towards Bailey and Faith so that I can avoid her intense glare. Just as I'm about to speak I notice some movement from the glass door causing me to avert my eyes towards the door. My eyes widen when I realize that it's Chadley, and he doesn't look happy. "Babe, wait" I call out as I chase after his retreating figure No. This is bad. He thinks that I kissed Aurelia. Well, I did, but not for the reason that he thinks I did.
