She wanted to find more about the pull she felt for him but ben seems to be falling in love with his best friend's mate when he was aware of the mate bond. While Rohan searches for a means to be with his mate, ben on the other hand tries to sabotage the process because he wants Avilla all to himself.
Avilla tries to explain to ben that they were just friends and she has always wanted Rohan, while Rohan decides to be happy even though the law forbids it, he starts hanging out with Avilla and slowly she creeps into his heart, deep enough to make him reveal the real him.
